Hunter Country Day School Uniform Guidelines
At Hunter Country Day School, our uniform dress code deepens our sense of community while allowing students some creativity in their choice of attire. Hunter’s preferred uniform provider is Lands’ End. You can search by school name to view our approved school uniform products.
Required from Lands’ End:
- Each child will need to have at least one white polo-style shirt with the Hunter logo, which will be worn on field trips and other occasions where we would like for our children to have a uniform appearance and be easily identified. Our logo may be added to other products as specified on the website.
- Every girl will need to have at least one skirt or jumper in the “white plaid” fabric through Lands’ End. This will be worn as a part of our dress uniform.
Parents are welcome to purchase any or all uniform products through Lands’ End, but are not limited to this site. Any khaki or navy pants or shorts (not cargo-style) from another store are acceptable, as are white polo or oxford-style shirts, blazers and belts.
Everyday Uniform Options
Girls
- Khaki or navy skirt, skort, shorts, capris, or long pants (no cargo pants, please)
- Black leather, brown leather, or “white plaid” belt (available through Lands’ End) if pants have belt loops
- “White Plaid” skirt or jumper (Lands’ End)
- Light blue, evergreen, or white polo or oxford-style (button-down) blouse (at least one white shirt must have the Hunter logo)
- Uniform dress (ruffle-bottom, ruffle-collar, mesh polo) in light blue or white (Lands’ End)
- Tennis shoes/white socks or tights
Boys
- Khaki or navy shorts or long pants (no cargo pants, please)
- Black or brown leather belt if pants have belt loops
- Light blue, evergreen, or white polo or oxford-style (button-down) shirt (at least one white shirt must have the Hunter logo). Polo shirts may be short or long-sleeved
- Tennis shoes/white socks
Dress Uniform (for special occasions i.e. Lessons and Carols, graduation)
Girls
- “White Plaid” skirt or jumper (Lands’ End)
- White oxford-style (button-down) blouse
- Closed-toe shoes in brown, black, or navy
Boys
- Khaki long pants (no cargo pants)
- White oxford-style (button-down) shirt
- Navy blue blazer (does not need to have Hunter logo)
- Navy or “white plaid” tie
- Brown or black leather belt
- Closed-toe shoes in brown or black
